Some Flaws of Sony S1 Tablet
Just like every product I have ever reviewed, nothing is perfect and here are the flaws I noticed in Sony S1 Tablet:
- The battery life of Sony S1 Tablet is not as good as the iPad.
- Sony S1 Tablet lacks an HDMI output.
- Similar to other LCD tablets, the screen still directs sunlight. But it in ambient light, it looks better than other known tablets.

The New Era of Tablet PC
The revolutionary iPad tablet has re-defined what a computing device is all about. With total sales of 3.27 million iPads in the first 90 days, competitors from all around the industry have seen the tremendous potential that the PC Tablets have to offer.
The success of the iPad has triggered the arrival of numerous Tablet PC launched by well known companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, RIM, Dell, Lenovo, Asus, Acer, Google, Microsoft, and now Sony.
The industry seems to be growing and the pie certainly seems big enough for everyone to grab a share. A recent study revealed that, 52% of smart-phone owners said they would most likely buy a PC tablet to assist them during work, while 75% believe that PC tablet devices will increase their productivity level.
In economics term, if demand exceeds supply then producers of Tablets will profit in the future. But that is not the main reason why tablets set to finally succeed. Here are three reasons for the success of tablets:
1) Technical: As of 2010 technology has become more available and hardware engineers have made a breakthrough in that department. Moreover, smart-phones such as the iPhone have already taught a generation of users how three-finger swiping and other multi-touch gestures work.
2) Business: With the growth of mobile applications, a new profitable industry has emerged. The iPhone currently has 225,000 apps, while Google's Android has 100,000. The transition of those apps can be easily and quickly brought over from smart-phones to tablet with minimal re-programming, which makes the PC tablets immediately attractive to potential buyers.
3) Cultural: The emergence of today's tablets is directly associated and linked with the fact that employees can bring in and use their personal phones and laptops at work.
